Ted Thomas

Ted Thomas, born on August 9, 1955, in Halls, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that resonates deeply within the hearts of those who knew him.

Ted devoted 30 years of his life to Harrison Construction, where his work ethic and commitment set a standard of excellence. His colleagues admired not only his skills as a craftsman but also his warm demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand. Ted's contributions to the construction field will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to work alongside him.

His personal life was equally rich and fulfilling. Ted was known for his deep love and devotion to his soulmate, Linda Thomas. The couple spent 25 wonderful years together, building a life filled with shared joys and cherished memories. Their journey began in Halls but found its home in Knoxville, where they created a loving haven for their family.

Ted was the proud father of four children: Matt and Brittany Thomas, Nathan Thomas, and Heather and Josh West, and Shannon Forbes, and one sister Linda and Allan Taylor. He also embraced the role of a loving grandfather to seven beautiful grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter to his life. Family gatherings were a source of happiness for Ted, where stories were shared and bonds strengthened.

In addition to family, Ted had passions that brought him joy outside of work. He enjoyed listening to music, which often accompanied his quiet moments, and he was an avid wrestling fan. 

Ted was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mack and Lily Thomas, who welcomed him into the arms of the Lord. His memory will be held dear by the many friends and family members who experienced the warmth of his spirit.

As we remember Ted Thomas, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with devotion to family, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the simple pleasures that made him happy. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

There will be a Celebration of Life planned for a later date.
