Susan Denise McCoy McMahan

Susan Denise McCoy McMahan, 65, of Knoxville TN, went home to be with
her Lord and Savior on August 6, 2025. Born on February 24, in Banner
Elk, NC. A Proud Veteran of the Air Force. Denise served her Country
with courage, honor and unwavering dedication. She also served the
public for 30 years at Walmart, after her tenure in the Air Force.
Denise carried that same strength and determination into every part of
her life. A Fighter in every sense of the word; she faced challenges
with resilience, never giving up and never losing Faith.

As a Mother and Mimi, she was our anchor, our protector and our greatest
example of Love in action. Her words could guide, her arms could comfort
and her faith could move mountains. No matter what life brought, she
leaned on Jesus and her trust in him was the foundation of her
unshakeable spirit.

Denise found joy traveling, attending church and spending time with her
family, but her greatest joy came from serving others. She lived her
life with purpose, compassion and a steadfast devotion to both her
family and her Faith.

Denise is survived by her husband, Michael McMahan of Knoxville TN, her
Daughter, Amanda Springer (Patrick) of Whittier NC. Her sisters, Anna
McCoy and Debbie Flannery of Corryton TN. Her stepchildren, Michael,
Elijah and Jennifer. Her grandchildren, Calista, Leah and 7 step
grandchildren.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Elizabeth, as
well as her brother Frank McCoy.

Her battle is over, her race is run and she now rests in the arms of
Jesus; the source of her strength, her courage and her unending Love.

There will be a Graveside Service held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church
Cemetery, Mountain City TN on Sunday, August 31st at 2:00 pm.
