Ronald Simmons

Ronald Lee Simmons, 68, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Rule High School And after graduation, he became a part of the Marine Corps. In his free time, he loved to play the guitar, watch sports, the UT Vols and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents father Raymond Simmons, Sr., mother Sadie Simmons, brother Hayden Chestnut, and sister Deborah Sleigh.

He is survived by his brothers Raymond (Teresa) Simmons, Jr., and Roderick Simmons, and sister Shannon Simmon-Chatman. Nieces and nephews Swanee Simmons and Rod Simmons. Devoted Aunt Beverly McDuff Ward. Special cousins Theodore (Lois) Harris, Janice (Darryl) Walton, special friend Mark (Nicole) Harris, and a host of other cousins and special friends.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Open Door Church, 2806 Sherman Street Knoxville, TN, at 12 noon.
