Michael Hagler, born on December 30, 1971, in Boone, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on February 5, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was loved by many; known for his kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his sense of humor that brought laughter to many.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love through his sons, Michael Hagler Jr. and Jaquan Hagler. He is remembered fondly by his siblings, John Aaron Whittington and Jamika Cannon, and cherished by his aunt, Shirley Mack. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were fortunate enough to share in his life journey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Big John Hagler, and his mother, Parthenia Hagler, both of whom instilled in him the values of compassion and resilience that he carried throughout his life.

With deep roots in Boone, NC, Detroit, Michigan, and Knoxville, Tennessee, Michael’s warmth and laughter touched the hearts of many in Boone and beyond. As we remember Michael, we celebrate the impact he had on those who knew him, and the lasting memories that will endure in their hearts.
