Matthew Lee Ollis

Matthew Lee Ollis, 52, of Knoxville, Tn. passed away on June 29, 2026. He was born in Danville, Il on December 17th, 1973 to Raymond (Sonny) Ollis and Theresa Merold.

Matthew enjoyed chasing tornados in Decatur, IL, being with his family, loved to make people laugh. He never knew a stranger. He was the life of the party. He lived life to the fullest til his last breath. He loved all his children very much. He was a caring man and a reborn Christian. He took every opportunity to talk about Jesus Christ.

He will be missed by his long time sweetheart Holly Berry, his children Morgan, Brandon, Julie, Heather, Suzanne, Cayson, Landynn, Stephanie, and Cassandra, His grandchildren Miguel, Athena, Caliana, Caliyah, Nahjual, Journee, Hazel, Yodany, Izabella, Alejandra, Ximena, Jessariah, Nevaeh, and Jayden, His siblings Mint Wimsett and Larry (Brenda) Doolin. His aunt Carolyn (James) Brady, Uncles Darrell Ollis, Bruce (Crystal) Edwards, Brian Edwards, his loving dad Jim King, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was welcomed home by his parents, grandparents, daughter Christie, several aunts, uncles, cousins and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Always.

His memorial service will be at Abundant Life Church in Danville, IL. On August 7th, 2026 at 11am.
