Mark Anthony Belton, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at Tennova North Knoxville, TN. He was born on June 5, 1957, in Ruffin, NC, and left behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and strong moral values that defined his character throughout his life.

Mark was a dedicated worker, known for his robust work ethic and versatility across various occupations. From small engine repair to farm management and mechanics, he embraced the hands-on nature of his roles with a fervor that exemplified his commitment to hard work and excellence.

To know Mark was to appreciate his vibrant personality. His great sense of humor illuminated even the darkest days, and he had an innate ability to fill every room with laughter. That jovial spirit was matched only by his strong will and unwavering principles, traits that endeared him to those fortunate enough to cross his path.

Above all, Mark was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren. He often spoke of Jonathan Carlisle, his son, and Jennifer Carlisle, his daughter-in-law, with warmth in his voice. His heart swelled with joy when he recounted stories of his beloved grandchildren: Makayla, Michael, Taylor Rain, Joshua, and Colton, who each held a special place in his heart. Their achievements and happiness were a constant source of pride for him, reflective of the love he poured into their lives.

Mark’s loyalty extended beyond family; he found companionship in his little dog, Gracie Dawn, who was by his side during his final year. Their bond brought him comfort and joy that words cannot capture.

He leaves behind his loving family—including his sister-in-law, Susan Dalton and family, brother-in-law, Charles Dalton and family, niece Hope Shurba and family, and nieces Melissa Belton and Chris South—who will carry forward his memory in their hearts.

Mark is reunited in spirit with those he loved and lost, including his beloved wife, Francis Marie Belton; his son, Anthony Belton; his parents, Arthur Clay and Lois Irene Belton; and his siblings, Betty Sue, Linda, and Ronnie. Each of these relationships shaped him into the man he became, and they will be forever cherished in his memory.

Mark’s passions for motorcycles, fishing, and working on cars painted a vivid picture of a man who lived fully and completely. As we remember him today, let us celebrate a life well-lived—a man whose laughter and love will echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever illuminate our lives.
