Kathy Lynn Cloninger

Kathy Lynn Cloninger, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Knoxville, TN. Born on June 21, 1965, Kathy was a proud Tuck-a Hoe native whose warm spirit and gentle heart endeared her to many.

Kathy's journey through life began at Carter High School, where she graduated, carrying with her the values of kindness and humility that would define her character. Known for her outspoken nature despite a reserved demeanor, she had a unique ability to connect with both relatives and friends, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is remembered by her loving family, which includes her mother, Joyce McGill; her sister, Christi McGill; her son, Timothy Matthews; and her cherished grandson, Jonathon Matthews. Together they shared many joyous moments that will be held dear as they navigate this profound loss.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, John McGill, and her brother, Eddie McGill. Their absence in her life is felt deeply and will be acknowledged fondly as her family gathers to celebrate her legacy.
