Joshua Pruitt

Joshua Teril Pruitt of Knoxville, TN, born November 29, 1989 in Ft Payne, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2025.

Josh was a beloved son, father, and brother. He loved playing basketball, computers and World of Warcraft (Healer especially), and building small scale model cars etc. He also loved American muscle cars and he will be remembered fondly by his humor and his ability to find light in any situation. He will be forever in our hearts, but may his soul find the peace he was searching for.

Josh is proceeded in death by his mother Mechelle Leigh Pruitt, Papa Joe Pruitt, and his “Papaw” Ronald Centers. He is survived by Mawmaw, Nell Centers, his daughter Aleigha Pruitt and son Jermaine Pruitt. His brothers Jeremy Pruitt (Kentrell), Jabrielle (Kirsten) Pruitt, and Jordan Pruitt, and his sister Joneka Pruitt (Chase). Josh had 2 nieces and one nephew and was loved by several other family and friends along the way.

Josh’s final resting place will be in Alabama next to his mother.

You are gracious, forgiving, and always near to the broken.  We place their eternity in Your hands, trusting Your mercy is more than enough. Amen.”
