As a former truck driver, he deeply missed the freedom of the highways, a longing he fulfilled in small ways by connecting with truckers from around the world via his cherished CB radio at home. John’s love for vehicles was legendary among those who knew him well. He had a particular affection for his red coupe—a gleaming symbol of his passion for cars that he proudly showcased at rod runs in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. His enthusiasm extended beyond cars to motorcycles, where he delighted in bike rides alongside his beloved wife, Shari Davidson. This love of movement and the thrill of the ride paralleled his zest for life.

Outside the realm of vehicles, John embraced the simple, joyful pleasures of dancing, fishing, and bowling.
