JAMES MILTON (JIM) CLICK, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 23, 1942, in West Liberty, Kentucky, Jim built a respected career as a computer programmer and manager of computer information systems as a civilian employee of the Department of the Army. Over the years, he earned admiration for his professionalism, integrity and superior dedication to excellence.
Jim was preceded in death by loving parents, Lonnie Milton and Jean Ison Click. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra (Sandy) Click; Children, Randy Click (Shannah), Amanda Eplion (Mark), Stacy Martin, and Marci Wood (Brent); Grandchildren, Aubrey Pittman, Kyla Click, Logan Click, Micah Click, Aiden Click, Sydney Daughtry, Peyton Daughtry, Reid Daughtry, Ellie Wood, and Jonah Wood; Great Grandchildren, Macie Stokes, Tenzley Arteaga and Lily Daughtry; Siblings, Pauletta Wells, Katie Ison (Phillip), Stanley Click (Janie), Jennifer Click, Sarah Spence and Eva Curry, as well as a wide circle of extended family and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—tending his garden; casting a fishing line, especially on annual trips to Canada; cheering his beloved Kentucky Wildcats and playing many challenging rounds of golf. He loved the thrill of IndyCar racing, the camaraderie of bowling, and spending peaceful days on Fripp Island with wonderful friends. But above all, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family.
Jim will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and unwavering love for those around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched with his generosity, warmth, and quiet strength.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Jim’s life at Old North Abbey, 2537 Fairmont Blvd, Knoxville, TN. 37917 on Friday, August 15, 2025. Visitation will be from 1:00PM to 3:00PM with service following at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Old North Abbey, P.O.
