Jackie Gaylor

Jackie Gaylor, born on March 11, 1966, in Knoxville, Tennessee, peacefully departed this life on December 6, 2025, at Fort Sanders Medical Center. She was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother whose joyful spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jackie had a personality that radiated warmth and laughter. Her ability to find joy in everyday moments was a gift she generously shared with those around her, and it is said that she is likely laughing even now, bringing comfort to those who loved her.

In her lifetime, Jackie built a loving family. She is survived by her husband John Gaylor, her children Eric Grubb and Laura Taylor, her granddaughter, Nila Jane, and great-grandson James who brought her endless joy and pride. Jackie is also survived by her caring sisters, Cindy Babb and Teresa Dahlstedt, and her brother, Darrell Gross. She had a special bond with her many nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Jack Edward Gross,  her mother, Carol Janette Burkhart, her son Kevin Gross, and her niece Melissa Fox. 

As we remember Jackie Gaylor, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and invaluable memories. Her presence in our lives will be profoundly missed, and the joy she brought into this world will forever be a part of us.
