Ivan McCarter

Ivan McCarter, a beloved family man and kind soul, passed away on September 8, 2025, in Knoxville at the age of 74. He was born on May 22, 1951, in Gatlinburg. Throughout his life, Ivan was known for his warm personality and his unwavering dedication to making friends and touching lives.

Ivan cherished his family above all else, and those who knew him will fondly remember him for his gentle spirit and loving nature. He is survived by his brothers, Craig McCarter and Bobby McCarter, as well as his children: Robert, Stephanie, Andy, Cory, and Jennifer. The bond he shared with his family was a testament to his commitment to love and support.

In addition to being a devoted family member, Ivan had a multitude of interests that brought joy to his life. He had a passion for reading, loved watching wrestling, and found peace in nature. These hobbies enriched his life and allowed him to connect with others who shared his interests.

Ivan will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness and friendship will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He joins his mother Marie, and his siblings Sam, Robin, Kathy, and Glorgene in eternal rest.
