Mr. Edsell Scott Dorrough, age 64, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Blount County, Tennessee.

Mr. Dorrough was born in St. Maryville, Louisiana on April 18, 1964. He was preceded in death by his parents Edsell R. Dorrough and Linda Jean Cobb, and sister Melonie Pass.

He was known as "Buck" to his family and friends. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing pool, fishing, bon fires and the great outdoors.

Survivors include his son, Edsell Quinton Dorrough, former wife Quinnette Lovelady, and sister Joy Williams. Special friends Tim Lovelady and William Lovelady. And several nieces and nephews and cousin all of Griffin, GA.

THE BROKEN CHAIN 

We knew little that morning that
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,

But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
