Daniel Robinson

November 16, 1951 — September 13, 2025

Danny Robinson, born November 16, 1951, passed away on September 13, 2025. Born and raised in Chelsea, MA, he was a beloved son of the late Walter E., Jr. and Lucy M. (Lee) Robinson. He lived in Chelsea until 1973, when Danny and his family relocated to Everett following the great fire. Danny moved to Knoxville, TN in 2008 with his wife, Judy.

Danny worked at Charles Lee Disposal for over 20 years. After retiring from Charles Lee Disposal he worked for Herb Harship. During his high school years he worked for Harry Newman in the laundry.

An avid sports fan, Danny loved cheering on his favorite teams and could often be found watching a game while chatting with friends or family. He had a passion for playing the lottery and reading the “crazy papers.” Known for his warm and outgoing nature, Danny was rarely a stranger to anyone, he loved striking up conversations and connecting with people wherever he went. Some of his favorite moments were spent at summer cookouts in Boston, surrounded by his loved ones. Whether sharing a meal, a laugh, or a story, Danny cherished time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his son, Danny Robinson Jr.; his siblings, Gail Robinson March, Walter E. Robinson III, and Karen Nunally; and his nephew, Jordan Robinson.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy; his daughters, Vanessa Helfant, Natasha Durst and her husband Reed Durst, and Kisha Thomas; as well as his siblings Ronald Robinson, Leo Robinson and his wife Linda, Arlene Robinson, Jody Robinson, and his brother-in-law Bruce Mauch.

Danny's spirit lives on through his grandchildren: Lavese Maxwell, Bella Durst, Beckler Durst, Brandon Robinson, Le'Quan Thomas, Lamont Thomas Jr., Jamal Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Tyree Robinson, and granddaughter Nasenya Robinson; his great-grandson Ashton Thomas; great-granddaughter Soalna Sanders; his nieces Nicolette Mauch, Lucia Robinson-Griggs and her husband Michael; his nephews Justin Robinson and Adam Nunally; and countless other cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Danny was a man who never met a stranger. In his honor, we ask that you strike up a conversation with someone new or lend a hand to a neighbor this week.

Danny will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
