Clem Daniel Hizer, Jr.

Clem Daniel Hizer Jr., age 46, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on July 25, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on August 16, 1978, in Nashville to parents Clem Hizer Sr. and Donna Eddings Hizer. Clem lived a life defined by craftsmanship, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family.

On September 7, 2002, he married the love of his life, Jill Abshire and together they built a beautiful life centered around their two children, Noah Daniel and Kate Marie. Clem was a natural problem solver—a true craftsman who could fix nearly anything. His work ethic was unmatched, reflected in his nearly 15 years at Cabinet Express and over 20 years with Bar-B-Cutie.

More than his talents and dedication, Clem will be remembered for his generous spirit and big heart. He adored his children and found joy in sharing music, exploring vintage video games, and spending time outdoors. His kindness touched many, and his quiet strength was a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.

Clem is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Eddings Hizer; maternal grandparents, David Eddings and Thelma Vanatta; paternal grandfather, Claude Hizer; and a beloved family friend, Wanda Lou Bumpus.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jill, and their children, Noah and Kate; his father, Clem Hizer Sr. of Goodlettsville; siblings Amber (Richard) Hizer of Chapmansboro, Eric Hizer of Goodlettsville, Mason (Kandace) Hizer of Springfield, and Peyton Hizer of Goodlettsville; paternal grandmother Catherine (James) Boggus, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. One friend in particular who made a significant impact in Clem’s life was Ben Ruppert.

Clem's legacy lives on in the lives he touched—through his laughter, his work, and the love he poured into his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held at The Bridge Fellowship, 5066 Lebanon Rd. Lebanon, TN 37087, from 2 pm-3 pm on Sunday, August 10, 2025, with the funeral service to follow. Bro. Phillip Barnett and Pastor Phil Wilson will officiate.
