Christopher West

February 11, 1975 — June 29, 2025

Christopher Warren West, 50, passed away on June 29, 2025, in Clinton, Tennessee. Born on February 11, 1975, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Michael and Cecilia West (nee Boehm, now Krusling). Chris lived a life marked by dedication—to his work, his passions, and above all, to his family.

Throughout most of his professional life, Chris built a career in sales, marketing, and IT. His strong work ethic and problem-solving nature made him a valued contributor in every role he took on. However, it was three years ago that he found his true calling when he became self-employed as a farmer. Immersing himself in the world of sustainable agriculture, Chris poured countless hours into researching and implementing the best practices to make his farm both productive and sustainable. Farming wasn’t just a job for him—it was a passion that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. Even throughout his illness, he worked hard everyday to keep the farm running.

Beyond the fields of his farm, Chris found peace on the water. Boating was more than a hobby; it was where he felt most at ease. Whether navigating open waters or simply floating under the sun’s warmth, the water offered him solace and renewal.

Chris briefly served in the Navy—a testament to his sense of duty and willingness to serve something greater than himself.

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Michelle West. Chris and Michelle met in 2017, and although he swore he would never marry again, they married on June 29, 2019. A second marriage for each, it was one based on honesty, unwavering support, and unconditional love. In their vows, they pledged to to fill their life with adventure and their home with laughter, and to encourage each to grow as an individual. Chris supported Michelle while she obtained her Master's degree in Nursing, which then prompted a move to Tennessee for Chris to pursue his desire to farm and be his own boss. He never left a room without kissing Michelle, always generous with his affection.

Chris is survived by his sons, Bryce (23) and Warren (21), and his daughter, Naomi (13). Though she does not carry his last name, Chris raised Naomi with a fierce love and protectiveness that only a true father can have. Each of his children carries forward pieces of his spirit—his determination, generosity, and love. He is survived by his mother, Cecilia Krusling (Jim), and his three brothers, Ben West, Carey West (Sara), and Patrick West. Along with his nieces, Julia, Jessica, and Mariah, he also leaves behind many special aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Michael West.

Those who knew Chris will remember him as hardworking and devoted—a man who could fix anything with his hands or heart. His legacy lives on not only through the lives he touched but also through the land he nurtured and the family he cherished.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who strive to live with purpose and love. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 9, 2025, from 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM at The Building, 116 N Karl Brown Way, Loveland, Ohio. There will be a memorial service at 6:00. Following the service, all are warmly welcome to attend an open house reception--a time to share memories, offer condolences, and celebrate Chris's life with laughter, stories, and maybe a good cold beer or two.

A separate Celebration of Life for his Tennessee friends and family will be held at a later date.
