It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Charles Robert “Rob” Hilton, who departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on May 29, 2026, at the age of 70. Rob was a man who lived simply, loved deeply, and brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him.
Rob dedicated his life to being a loving father, grandfather, and to his career as a painter, taking great pride in his work and the craftsmanship he brought to every job. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping, boating on the water, casting a line while fishing, and gathering with family and friends for barbecues and bonfires. These moments, filled with laughter and togetherness, were what he cherished most.
A true Southern gentleman at heart, Rob never met a stranger. He was known for his kind spirit, generous nature, and genuine love for others. He cared deeply about the well-being of children and found happiness in seeing those around him smile, always ready with a laugh and a reminder to enjoy life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles and Bobbie Hilton his brothers, Rusty and Jacky Hilton; his sister, Betty “B.J.” Hilton-Hitchcock;
Left to cherish his memory, his life partner, Lamon Etheridge; his daughters, Brandi & husband Matthew Drinnon, and Amanda Hilton; brother, Gary Hilton & wife Jennifer; and his 5 beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom he loved dearly.
Rob will be remembered as a devoted partner, loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. His life was a testament to kindness, laughter, and the importance of family. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
