Charles “Charlie” Robert Ferguson passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion to his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neta Ferguson, as well as his parents and siblings, all of whom he now rejoins in eternal rest.
Charlie was born and raised in Maine, where he graduated from Hamden Academy in 1953.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Donna Stewart, who was the joy and pride of his life. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Chris Stewart and his wife Tabitha, Robert Stewart and his wife Fredrena, and Tyler Stewart and his wife Lydia. His presence and guidance will forever live on in his great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Zane, Brooklyn, Zechariah, John, Courtlyn, Tyler, Jaiden, and Jazierra, and his great-great-grandchildren Milah, Ryleigh, and Zylah.
A proud veteran, Charlie honorably served in the United States Air Force, dedicating part of his life to protecting the country he loved. In his later years, he found joy in the simple pleasures—most especially playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and company brought him endless happiness.
Charlie will be remembered for his warm heart, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family. His memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the lessons passed down, and the generations that follow.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 1 to 3 pm at Inskip Baptist Church.
