Still Rollin On
Carl E Nance Jr. (Eddie) age 70 of Knoxville, TN known for his one liner “ what ya say bud” took his final ride on 10/26/25 trading in his eighteen wheels for angel wings.proceeded in death by Mother and Father Joyce and Carl Nance Sr. Grandparents Susan and Roy Nance, Jim and Alberta Wyrick, best buddy his uncle Johnny Wyrick and to the one who spoiled him Mont Wyrick, and his wife Kathy Nance.
Eddie spent a lifetime behind the wheel, seeing more highways, sunsets and small time diners than most folks could dream of. He was a proud career truck driver who could back a rig into a space tighter than a Sunday parking lot at Dollywood.
He hauled for Renfro, Randolph,Averitt Express, and retired from Triple R trucking, those who knew Eddie can confirm the coffee was always strong, CB radio was always on, and the stories got better with every mile marker.
When Eddie wasn’t on the road you could catch him with family and friends. Eddie was a giver sometimes to a fault. As people knew he wouldn’t say no, he would never let a kid, person or animal go hungry he just wanted to have a good time and no one go without.
Eddie is survived by his daughter Jennifer Nance, sister Kaye and Chris Gregory, niece Kristen and Jordan Satterfield, bonus granddaughter Misty Graves and her son Finn Alvis, First wife and friend Sylvia Nance.
A special Thank you to Amedysis Home Health and Hospice Care, they gave wonderful care and support throughout the final days.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
