Lynn Payne

Archie "Lynn" Payne, age 41, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on September 22, 2025. Born and raised in Knoxville, Lynn was known for his kind heart, reflective spirit, and deep love for his family. Lynn had a special bond with his dog, Little Bit, who brought him immense joy and comfort. He often spoke of the past, reminiscing on cherished memories and holding tight to the moments that shaped him. Lynn was someone who valued connection, and he never missed a chance to express his love for those closest to him. He shared a particularly close relationship with his father, Archie Payne Sr., and his family meant everything to him. He is survived by his father Archie Payne Sr., and his brothers, Scottie Payne and Billy Maples. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Owens; his brother, Jason Payne; and his sister, Teresa Johnson. A memorial service to be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 5:30-7:00 pm at Anchor Holds Baptist Church, 4601 Old Broadway St., Knoxville Tennessee 37918. All who knew and loved Lynn are welcome to attend and celebrate his memory. 

Lynn found strength and comfort in his favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 40:31: "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Though his time with us was far too short, Lynn's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
